Dave Lovatt BSc (Hons) MRICS MCIOB MQSi

Dave is a chartered surveyor, chartered quantity surveyor and chartered builder who has spent his career on construction sites and in the commercial detail of residential building — pricing it, managing it, inspecting it and, when it goes wrong, unpicking it as an expert.

That background is why a Lovatt survey reads differently. Where a conventional report stops at “defective — seek further advice”, Dave can usually tell you what the defect is, why it has happened, how it should be repaired and roughly what that repair should cost in today's North East market.

Every inspection is carried out by Dave personally. He writes the report, signs it, and takes your call afterwards. There is no panel, no junior surveyor and no call centre between you and the person who stood in the loft.
